If They're Already Hygienic Kids Listen Up
If you've noticed more underarm odour, it's not your imagination

Apocrine glands are concentrated in areas such as the armpits and groin. They release secretions rich in lipids and proteins into hair follicles. On skin and hair, that oily residue gives bacteria food they can turn into strong-smelling odour molecules.
